Chris was brought up in Talyllyn, Tywyn and finally Ystumtuen, Aberystwyth, Chris undertook his formal training at Coleg Meirionedd where he studied Carpentry & Joinery and Advanced Certificate Purpose Made Joinery.

He was apprenticed to, and later worked with, his father in Ystumtuen Aberystwyth where he gained experience designing, producing and fitting purpose made joinery suitable for the architecture of this area. Chris undertook many projects working with and around traditional stone buildings and barn conversations.

Chris moved to London in his early twenties. Initially he worked for a shopfitting company, specialist cabinetmakers and a construction company. He then set-up on his own, progressing from a small to a bigger workshop. Latterly he was responsible for setting up and managing a large-scale joinery workshop for one of his construction clients.

During his time in London Chris produced high quality joinery for a wide variety of properties from small London flats to large suburban mansions. This included producing solid framed architectual joinery for Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian properties, listed/heritage properties and modern properties and conversions. Though most work was for private clients, Chris was also involved in a number of commercial projects.

Some 20 years later, and now with a young son, Chris has made his return home. Since moving back in early 2006 Chris has been working for clients in Aberystwyth, Aberdyfi and Tywyn whilst retaining a small number of clients in London.
